People often skip meals . It happens because they think that by skipping one meal , they lose easier and faster weight . Unfortunatelly it is totally wrong. This photo at the left side explains briefly some of the negative effects of skipping one meal . When you skip a meal , your blood sugar level goes really low causing hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia makes you feel tired and hungry.Without supply of calories, your system shifts into starvation mode in an effort to conserve energy.Your metabolism slows, and as a result the food you eat afterwards isn't burned off efficiently.Your mood changes as well . You become easily upset and you are nervous .When you eat again many hours later, your body feels relief—but it doesn't last .Your metabolism will stay low since it doesn't know when the next supply of food or calories is coming. Your blood sugar drops again, ushering in the low energy, brain fog, and mood swings you had all day.. When meal-skipping becomes a habbit, your body might turn to your muscles as a fuel source, further lowering your metabolism and your reduces your strength. So next time you are planning to skip a meal rethink about it.
